RIVERSIDE, Calif. --- Already the program's single-season goal scoring record holder, sophomore Aaron Steiger scored four of the game's first six goals to lead No. 19 California Baptist University to a 10-6 win over Fresno Pacific on a blustery Friday afternoon at the Lancer Aquatics Center.

The win moves the Lancers to 28-11 as they set a program-record for wins in a season with their fifth win in the past six games. Last year's team won 27 games.

The Lancers used a six-goal second quarter while holding the Sunbirds scoreless to blow open a 1-1 tie and carry a 7-1 lead into halftime. Steiger, who brings his season goal total to 107 goals with one more game to play, had three second-quarter scores in less than four minutes. Jason Bills, Chris Toy and Alex Shorts also scored in the quarter.

From that point, the lead never shrunk below four goals as the closes the Sunbirds got was 9-5 with a 6-on-5 goal with 1:48 left in the game.

Beau Brumley, who has scored just once this season, scored twice in the fourth. Zach Bowman made five saves in the first three quarters before taking the rest of the day off in favor of Dylan Cox, who made one save.

The Lancers conclude their 2008 campaign with a 2 p.m. game Saturday against Concordia at the Lancer Aquatics Center.
