FRESNO, Calif. --- To begin their four game, three-day, two
stop road trip, No. 18 California Baptist University beat Fresno Pacific 14-7
on Thursday evening.
After pushing to a 6-3 lead at the half, the Lancers boosted
their offense with a five-goal third quarter.
Scott Gleason led all scorers with six goals. Cameron Custance and Chris Toy added to goals apiece.
Peter Hines, Danny Mundy, Evan Vardayou and Cody Wetherbee
each contributed one goal.
Goalkeeper Austen Ramer tallied 11 saves and four steals on
defense with two additional assists.
Now at 18-5, the Lancers trek onto Santa Clara for The Rodeo
tournament. CBU faces Harvard for the second time this season Friday night at
6:20 p.m.
CBU downed Harvard 13-9 on the opening day of the season.
