Box Score 1 SANTA CLARA – The 16th-ranked California Baptist University men's water polo team extended its win streak to five straight, clinching the 21st victory of the season, with a 16-14 win over Brown on Saturday morning. The Lancers later had the streak snapped by 9th-ranked Princeton as the Tigers won 18-7 in the second day of the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament.
The 21 wins by the Lancers is the most in a season since the 2018 campaign. CBU has won 22 games twice during the NCAA-era in 2016 and 2018.
GAME ONE | #16 CBU 16 – BROWN 14
In the match-up against Brown,
Thomas de Wit tallied two goals along with a team-high five assists, setting the program's single-season assist record.
Joseph Griffin scored four goals while
Caleb Teraoka,
Ian Escoto, and
Logan Puhl registered a pair of goals each.
GAME TWO | #16 CBU 7 – #9 PRINCETON 18
Escato and Puhl led the Lancers in scoring with two goals each and de Wit registered another two assists toward the new school record.
CBU will return to Riverside for the final regular season home game against LMU on Thursday, October 27, at 6 p.m.
