COLORADO SPRINGS – A three-double game from
Chad Castillo highlighted California Baptist University baseball's series opener at Air Force on Friday.
The Lancers scored four of the final six runs in the game, but fell to the Falcons 11-5. Castillo becomes the sixth player in CBU's modern era, which dates back to 2002, to hit three doubles in a game and the first in NCAA Division I.
CBU moves to 20-8 on the year while Air Force has won four-straight games to improve to 13-15. The series continues with games at 11 a.m. Pacific on Saturday and Sunday, April 9-10.
Castillo finished also drove in two runs and scored twice.
David Martin,
Harrison Spohn and
Michael Carpentier each had two hits in the game for CBU, as well. Martin extended his hitting streak to nine games in the process.
