Lohr Grabs Another

RIVERSIDE, Calif. —For the second week in a row, California Baptist University's Stephen Lohr was named the PacWest Player of the Week on Monday. The junior continued his hot hitting to help the Lancers sweep their third opponent of the season and first in the PacWest, Holy Names.
The Lancers outscored the Hawks 61-11 over the four games last week, and Lohr helped in that endeavor by hitting .579 (11-19) with eight runs batted in and eight more scored. He slugged .895 with three doubles and a home run. He had at least two hits in every game, and was 4-for-6 with three RBIs, two runs scored, a double and home run. He was 3-for-5 with two runs in the third game of the series.
Lohr has driven in a run in 14 of his last 15 games. He leads the PacWest in batting average (.466), hits (41), doubles (13), runs (27) and on-base percentage (.530).
CBU takes a 17-5, 7-1 in conference record to Hawaii over the next two weeks. The Lancers first stop at Hawaii Hilo from Wednesday to Friday and then face Hawaii Pacific March 22-24.
