Diouf Named Defender of the Week

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Coming off an outstanding defensive performance at Dixie State on Saturday, No. 8-ranked California Baptist University's Kalidou Diouf was named the PacWest Defender of the Week, announced Monday.
Diouf recorded 18 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks in CBU's 70-59 road win at Dixie State. It was his seventh double-double and a career-high in blocks, as the Lancers won in St. George, Utah, for the first time (70-59) and stayed in a tie for first place in the PacWest with Hawai'i Pacific.
The junior center is 11th in the PacWest in scoring (15.8 ppg), seventh in rebounding (7.1 rpg) and third in blocks (30). He currently ranks third in all of NCAA Division II in field-goal percentage (68.4).
CBU heads back up to the Bay Area for two games this week, Holy Names on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and Notre Dame de Namur on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. The Lancers close out the regular season at home on Feb. 25, hosting Point Loma for an 8:00 p.m. tip off.
