RIVERSIDE, Calif. — California Baptist University women's soccer announced Tim Strader joined its coaching staff on Wednesday.
"We're excited to welcome Tim and his family to the CBU family," said Coach Kristen St. Clair. "Tim comes to CBU with experience as both a head coach at Indiana Wesleyan and an assistant coach at NCAA Division I Cal State Northridge. We look forward to working with Tim."
Strader spent the last four years as the head coach at IWU, leading the Wildcats to an NCCAA runner-up finish this past fall. He's accumulated a 28-26-5 career mark at Indiana Wesleyan.
Prior to Indiana Wesleyan, Strader coached with the Matador team that won the Big West Tournament in 2013 and made its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. He has built his coaching resume from a variety of levels. He has coached at the high school, club, and collegiate ranks.
"I would like to thank Dr. Ronald L. Ellis, Dr. Micah Parker, Bryan Engle and Coach St. Clair for this incredible opportunity to join a truly special university and athletic department that is committed to honoring Christ through excellence in athletics," said Strader. "I am looking forward to being a part of Coach St. Clair's staff as we transition to NCAA Division I this fall. I think bringing my previous experience to serve the program as we build to be a top contender in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC)."
