Blair Penner

Blair Penner currently helps coach California Baptist University Women's Volleyball, but he was a Lancer student-athlete himself. He established himself as the best setter on the men's side to come through the Van Dyne Gym. The Lancers won two national championships in 2010 and 2011, with his teams never finishing outside of the top-two in the NAIA during his career from 2008-11.
Penner's 416 sets played and 4,065 assists are program records, while his career 9.77 assists per set average rank third overall. As far as single-season rankings, he ranks first and second in assists, with 1,524 and 1,423. He is also No. 1 for aces in a season, with 71, and second in assists per set, with 12.92.
He is also responsible for single-match records in assists and aces, with 81 and 13, respectively. Along the way, Penner was named the 2010 NAIA Player of the Year, a two-time NAIA All-American and twice made the NAIA All-Invitational Team.
