CBU Athletics Communications
The Athletics Communications department's mission is to strategically provide communication between the athletics department and its external and internal constituents, increase awareness of and interest in CBU Athletics and to publicize the activities and achievements of the student-athletes, teams and athletics department as a whole.

INTERVIEW POLICIES
All interviews with California Baptist University Athletics administration, coaching staff members, and/or student-athletes must be arranged through the Athletics Communications office. All interviews with student-athletes will be arranged around their academic class schedules and/or practice times. Please give at least 24 hours notice for interview requests to allow the Athletics Communications office to contact the person of interest. There will be no pre-game interviews on the day of the game unless prior arrangements have been made between the Athletics Communications office, the coach, and the member of the media at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time. Due to schedules, in-person interviews are not always guaranteed.
Media are not permitted to contact coaches or student-athletes on their own at any time. Should you need to conduct a telephone interview with a coach or student-athlete, it must be coordinated with an Athletics Communications staff member at a mutually agreeable time. Student-athletes will not be available for pre-game interviews on the day of the game.
For post-game interviews at home events, please contact the listed SIDÂ prior to the completion of the game. There is a 10-minute cooling off policy after the contest is over before interviews can be conducted with coaches and/or student-athletes.
CREDENTIAL REQUESTS
All requests for media credentials and photography passes must be arranged through the Athletics Communications office 48 hours prior to scheduled game time. Credential requests can be submitted to the designated communications contact for each sport, and are reserved for legitimate media outlets. Only legitimate requests will be granted.
Inside the Fowler Events Center and Van Dyne Gym, all photographers must shoot from the baselines inside the marked photo boxes, or on the Events Center concourse so long as spectator view is not disturbed. All positions are at the judgment of the game's officials and/or the game manager at all times and are subject to change. Media outlets are not permitted inside dugouts at Totman Stadium (Baseball) or Funk Stadium (Softball), or in the bench area/directly behind the goals at the CBU Soccer Stadium.
MEDIA SERVICES
CBU Athletics Communications uses computerized statistics (Genius Sports/StatCrew/Automated Scorebook/FOSH). All working media will receive an official game program and notes, halftime box score, and a final game box score, including play-by-play scoring, upon request. Working space is limited at all CBU home events - due to limited space, please contact the Athletics Communications office 48 hours in advance if you plan to cover an event in person.
DISTRIBUTION OF POST-GAME RESULTS
The CBU Athletics Communications office will upload post game stats to the NCAA Manager and provide printed stats to opposing teams and media outlets at the conclusion of the game. Post game stats will be emailed to the opposing team or media outlet at their request. Please contact the Athletics Communications office with any special requests. A final score and official box score will be posted to the CBU athletics website within 30 minutes of the completion of a game.
VISITING RADIO
Stations wishing to broadcast games must make arrangements with the Athletics Communications office as early as possible to reserve space. There are no phone lines or internet connection at our outdoor soccer and water polo facilities, only baseball and softball. Inside the Fowler Events Center, visiting radio will be stationed on the side of the concourse (bench side). Seats at the scorer's table are reserved for visiting SIDs, visiting team video coordinators, and select media. Â
