- Induction:
- 2018
- Class:
- 2009
Brad Terwilliger helped California Baptist University Men's Swimming and Diving develop and maintain their dominance, as the Lancers won all four of their NAIA Championships with him from 2006-09.
Terwilliger won eight individual national championships in his career, which was and still is a CBU record. He accumulated 15 All-American awards in all, which is tied for seventh most in program history. His nine individual All-American performances are tied for the second most all-time, just one off the all-time leaders. He was also part of the 400-yard medley relay team, whose record from the 2009 NAIA Championships that stood up until this year at three minutes, 16.49 seconds.
Terwilliger was named the NAIA Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet when CBU won its first-ever NAIA title in 2006. He shared the award with teammates Jan Tichy and Russell Thompson. Terwilliger won three of his eight individual national titles that season in the 400 individual medley and 500 and 1650 freestyles. He won four more national championships in 2007, three coming individually, and then won six national championships in 2009, with four coming on relays.
