Mark Roussin
- Induction:
- 2015
- Class:
- 2009
Mark Roussin already had a name for himself in CBU history as the only men's basketball to be named a first-team All-American. He is also just one of two in the program to ever be named a Conference Player of the Year.
Over his three year career, he received four All-American accolades, three All-Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) awards and two conference player of the week honors. The Lancers went 68-29 overall, 39-21 in the GSAC and reached the NAIA Tournament twice with Roussin, including a banner Sweet 16 run in 2007-08. In that year, Roussin led the team in four of the five major statistical categories, with 17.5 points a game, 8.1 rebounds, 2.2 steals and 1.2 blocks.
Roussin -- a 2009 graduate -- wrote his name all over the record book in that span. Even today, he remains the career leader in free throws made and steals with 500 and 179, respectively. He is the third-best blocker in CBU history (106, 1.13 a game), while his 1,540 career points and 16.4 points a game rank fourth and 11th all time, respectively. His 197 free throws and 245 free-throw attempts in 2007-08 are also single-season records.
