Petra Kovacs was the first-ever multiple All-American in California Baptist University Women's Water Polo history. The driver and Budapest, Hungary native helped the Lancers to four-straight winning seasons and an overall 98-57 record. Kovacs struck an impressive balance between goal scoring and play making, as she remains a top-three goal scorer all time at CBU with 278 goals, while ranking fifth in assists with 125. She was also a formidable defender, compiling 135 steals to rank 14th all time.
As a junior in 2011, Kovacs scored 108 goals, which was the second-most in a season at that time but has since dropped to fourth in CBU single-season history. The next year, Kovacs scored 95 goals to become the first-ever Lancer to score at least 95 in more than one season and is still one of two players to ever accomplish that feat today. She also remains one of two players to put up 45 or more assists in more than one season, with her 48 in 2012 ranking sixth all time.
