One of the first all-time greats in CBU women's volleyball history, Sheryl Miyamoto (1985, 87-89) -- formerly Carbajal -- was the first-ever player in program history to earn NAIA All-American honors, earning second-team recognition in 1989. That same year, she was also the GSAC and District III Player of the Year while leading the Lancers to the 1989 NAIA Semifinals for the first time in program history. Miyamoto was a two-time All-GSAC honoree.
