HELENA, Mont. — California Baptist University got a little scare in its final day of the UGF/Carroll Holiday Inn Classic, but were able to hold on to grab a 3-0 (25-23. 25-10, 25-13) over Montana Tech and battled from behind to grab a five-set victory over Carroll (25-14, 22-25, 25-19, 17-25, 15-13).

The Lancers (5-0) will now get set for the Golden State Athletic Conference opener at Westmont, Sept. 2, before playing in the Concordia Labor Day Tournament, Sept. 4-5.
