The Lancers downed Chaminade 3-0 (25-19, 25-8, 25-15) to improve their PacWest record to .500 with the dominating win.
CBU committed just three errors in the opening set, ripping 16 kills on a .464 attacking percentage.
The Lancers jumped out to a 7-2 lead early and would hold the advantage through the first game. The closest Chaminade would come is four points late, but three straight points for CBU would end the threat.
CBU again took a commanding early advantage in the second, jumping ahead 10-2. The Silverswords managed just six points the rest of the way, falling by 17 in the game.
After just the three errors in the opener, the Lancers were near perfect in the 15 minute second game, committing only one error. CBU had nearly as many aces in the set (4) as Chaminade had kills (5).
The two teams played even for the first four points of the third game, but the Lancers would post a 9-0 run to take command through the end of the match. The Silverswords never led on the night.
Ingrid Carmona led all players with 16 kills, hitting a whopping .500 as she committed just two errors on her 28 attempts. As a team the Lancers hit .337, posting better than twice as many kills as their opponent with 45.
Six different Lancers notched service aces in the match, with CBU tallying eight aces to five service errors. CBU also had seven blocks.
Taylor Parker upped her season-best total, notching 39 assists in the match and Jessica Kalama led all players with 14 digs.
Whitney Viveiros led the Silverswords with seven kills and Crystal Powell led the team with 11 digs.
The Lancers improve to 11-8 overall on the season, 4-4 in PacWest play. Chaminade falls to 2-12, 1-7. The two teams matchup again Saturday night at 7 p.m.
