
Golf Eyes First NCCAA Title

Both the Lancer men and women have qualified for the upcoming NCCAA National Championships which will be held Monday, Oct. 24-Wednesday, Oct. 26 for the men and Monday-Tuesday for the women. The teams will travel to Panama City Beach, Fla. to play at the Hombre Golf Club.
The CBU men are one of 18 teams to qualify for the tournament. The Lancers will be paired with North Central and Southern Wesleyan for the first and second rounds. The CBU women are one of eight teams to make the field and will be paired with Dallas Baptist and Bethel for the first round. The men will re-pair after the second round and the women after the first.
The Lancer men are coming off the team's first tournament victory since 2008 and have finished in at least the Top 6 of each tournament they have competed in this season. The Lancer women, who won their first ever NAIA National Championship last season, have finished seventh and second in their first two tournaments of the season.
CBU was a member of the NCCAA from 1972-1987 and rejoined the organization this year as the school transitions from the NAIA to NCAA Division II.
