It was the Lancers' 10th win in their last 11 matches as they downed the Penguins 25-14, 23-25, 25-12, 25-18, just two nights after they swept the team.
Ingrid Carmona again led the team over Dominican, posting 16 kills. The Lancers had three players with double-digit kill totals as Bree Rauschenbach posted 12 and Jelena Dragovic had 11.
Behind the service of Rauschenbach, CBU went on a staggering 15-point run to start the fourth set. The run came on the heels of the Lancers closing out the third game with five-straight points, giving CBU a season-high 20 consecutive points in the match.
Just a few nights after setting the CBU career record for service aces, Rauschenbach led all players with five aces, three of which came during the run.
CBU outhit the Penguins .281-.133, hitting a match-high .515 in the third set. Dominican had more than 10 kills in just one set, the second in which the home team posted 13.
In the only set it lost, CBU held a 21-17 lead late, but on senior night the Penguins mustered one rally, outscoring the Lancers 8-2 down the stretch.
Jordyn Siko led CBU with a .467 hitting percentage, posting eight kills on 15 attempts with just one error. Siko also posted seven assists and an ace. Taylor Parker led the team with 40 assists.
Jessica Jones led the Penguins with 11 kills.
The Lancers have one more match on their Northern California road trip, facing Notre Dame de Namur Saturday night.
