The Lancers lost their lead midway through the second half and were never able to regain it as the Red Storm held on for their fifth conference win of the season.
CBU falls to 8-3 overall, 2-1 PacWest, while Dixie improves to 7-6, 5-0.
CBU went up by as much as nine in the opening half, but a 9-3 run to close the period drew the Red Storm to within one, 31-30.
Dixie owned the paint in the first half, scoring 18 points down low to 10 for CBU. The Lancers on the other hand capitalized on the Red Storm's 19 turnovers with 15 points off of them.
Simone Holmes continued her hot play with nine first half points. She would add 11 more in the second half, but it wasn't enough.
CBU came out of the break just as sluggish as the team entered it and after a Jasmine Sauser jumper, Dixie hit three straight buckets to take a 36-33 lead.
The Red Storm took the lead for good on a Kaylah Miller 3-pointer at the 12:43 mark, going up 43-41.
Dixie would grab its biggest lead of the night, a 59-52 advantage, at the 3:21 mark. Holmes cut the lead to five with a jumper, but after that neither team found a basket for the next 2:32.
CBU had several chances down the stretch, but couldn't find a field goal when it needed it, getting its only basket in the form a layup from Holmes with 24 seconds left.
The Lancers shot just 33.9 percent from the field, while Dixie shot 48.1 percent. CBU was outrebounded in the game 44-27.
Holmes' 20 points led all players and Johanna Brown's 19 led the Red Storm. Brown also had a game high 16 rebounds.
