RIVERSIDE, Calif. ---
California Baptist University hosted its last home competition, swimming against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Friday. The Lancers ended Senior Day in style, winning by a score of 130-75.
 
Mary Hanson helped the Lancers grab three first-place event finishes, including the 500-yard medley relay (5:19.76) with the help of Melody Coleman, Kristina Tchernyschev and Robin Smallwood. Hanson added individual victories in the 50 freestyle (24.46 seconds) and 100 freestyle (52.67).
 
Sophomore Courtney Chacon grabbed an impressive two wins for the Lancers in the 1000 freestyle -- clocking in at 10:42.91 -- and the 300-yard butterfly (3:20.33).
 
Yosita Hapsari had a solid time of 1:57.26 in the 200-yard freestyle, taking first for CBU and edging out thirteen other swimmers. Hapsari also touched the wall first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:11.97.
 
Hailey Golden, Christie Halverson, Kyndal Terwilliger and Hapsari placed first in the 500-medley relay for the Lancers, finishing up with an impressive time of 4:46.17, which was .22 seconds ahead of CMS.
 
For the rest of the Lancers, Terwilliger took first for the women's 300-yard IM clocking in at 3:28.31, while Kylie Mihld took the 300-yard backstroke (3:19.47).
 
On the diving board, Breanne Schlenger took first place on the one-meter board with 265.98 points, while Lauren Skinner took second with a score of 264.07. On the three-meter board, Breanne Schlenger took first place with 255.75 points and Lauren Skinner finished behind her with 245.10 points. CBU has now qualified three divers for nationals, the most in CBU history.

The Lancers will compete again Saturday at the Fresno Pacific Relays in Fresno, beginning at noon.
