RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Coming off an unprecedented run in its first-ever NCAA Division II postseason appearance, California Baptist University debuts as the No. 4 team in the Women's DII Bulletin Preseason Top 25.
The Lancers, who finished 2014-15 as the No. 2 team in NCAA Division II, return all but two players from the squad that advanced all the way to the championship game, including senior center Darsha Burnside. The San Bernardino native was selected as a preseason All-American honorable mention after finishing last year as the NCAA Division II Stat Champion in double-doubles with 23 on the year.
CBU will look to build upon last year's 29-7 overall record as it tips off the season on the road in Billings, Mont. The Lancers take on Montana State-Billings to open the season on Nov. 11 and host Northwest Nazarene on Nov. 19 for their home opener at 5:00 p.m.
