CBU Announces Partnership with Dutton Cadillac

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – California Baptist University announced a five-year, university-wide partnership with Dutton Cadillac on Tuesday. The partnership pairs two of Riverside's most impactful community pillars in an unprecedented, integrated partnership.
"I want to thank Bud and Woody Dutton for their vision, support and commitment," said CBU President Dr. Ronald Ellis. "We are excited about our partnership with Dutton Cadillac and the new Events Center. The Dutton's have a rich history of supporting the community, and we are proud to partner with them."
The partnership makes Dutton Cadillac the official automotive partner for California Baptist University, including athletics and the new Events Center that will seat over 5,000 fans, slated to open in April 2017. Dutton Cadillac becomes the university's first founding partner of the Events Center and includes year-round support of all Lancer athletic programs.
"The Dutton's are synonymous with Riverside, having contributed to the growth of Riverside's economic engine and vibrant corporate community involvement since 1936," said CBU Director of Athletics Dr. Micah Parker. "This is truly a historic partnership for CBU, the Dutton family and Dutton Cadillac."
The connection with CBU goes beyond a traditional marketing relationship, according to Dutton Cadillac CEO Woody Dutton. Both of his daughters grew up swimming at the Lancer Aquatics Center and benefitted from the values and education CBU provides.
"Dutton Cadillac is honored to be the official automotive partner for CBU," said Dutton. "CBU has invigorated Riverside's collegiate environment with its growth, academic achievements and sports presence. We have had a long-standing relationship with CBU, having worked with many students, faculty and staff in both sales and service over the years. We have also had the opportunity to employ many outstanding CBU students and alumni. We are looking forward to this new chapter of our relationship."
