Thomas Dominates Season Opener

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Britney Thomas made quite the impression in her first game in a California Baptist University uniform and the Lancers' inaugural contest of the NCAA Division I era.
Thomas, a junior transfer from Mt. San Jacinto College, put together a double-double in her Lancer debut with a game-high 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Ane Olaeta added 13 points and four assists for CBU, but it was not enough to overcome a talented and tall Idaho State team picked to finish third in the Big Sky Conference, as the Bengals pulled out a 72-57 win in the CBU Events Center.
The Lancers turn right back around to face Long Beach State on the road Friday at 7 p.m., before returning to Riverside to host Cal State Fullerton Tuesday at 6 p.m.
