Delanis Grabs Academic Honor

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — The track season may be over, but California Baptist University's Emeline Delanis continues to grab honors.
Tuesday afternoon, the junior Frenchwoman was named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Delanis finished the cross country season as the PacWest Runner of the Year and took fifth overall at the NCAA Division II Championship meet to help the Lancers take third as a team. This spring, during the track season, she qualified for two events (3K steeplechase and 5K) at the DII Championships and took fourth overall in the 5K.
In the classroom, the business administration major boasts over a 3.8 GPA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June. The full list of honorees can be found here.
