More Academic Honors for Delanis

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A day after being named the PacWest Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year, California Baptist University's Emeline Delanis grabbed Google Cloud Academic All-America® Women's Track & Field/Cross Country second-team honors Wednesday.
In the classroom, the business administration major boasts over a 3.8 GPA. She was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Delanis was named the PacWest Runner of the Year after winning the individual PacWest championship with a time of 21 minutes, 11.3 seconds. She went on to grab All-West Region and All-American honors after helping the Lancers win their first-ever West Region Championship and finish third at the D-II Championship – CBU's highest finish ever. The France native took fifth overall at nationals with a time of 20:57.6.
This spring, during the track season, Delanis qualified for two events (3K steeplechase and 5K) at the DII Championships and took fourth overall in the 5K with a time of 16:39.58 for a spot on the podium and All-American honors.
