Renaud Repeats as WAC Athlete of the Week

RIVERSIDE -- Emilie Renaud was named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
Renaud led the Lancers to their third straight team win at Texas A&M's Arturo Barrios Invitational last weekend. She completed the course in a time of 20 minutes, 39.5 seconds, which ranks as the seventh fastest time in program history.
CBU's team victory led to the Lancers improving their ranking in the West Region, as they jump up one spot to sixth, passing Oregon State in the process.
The men's squad also improved its West Region standings after taking third in the 26 team field. This showing bumped the men up two spots into eighth in the region, as they passed by Cal Poly and Washington State.
Both teams are dormant until the WAC Championships on Nov. 2. In their inaugural conference race last year, the Lancers' women won the team and individual titles in Seattle, with a 28-point cushion between them and second Utah Valley.
