Two Lancers Qualify for Platform Finals at Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS – Two Lancers qualified for the platform finals for California Baptist University on the last day of the Air Force Diving Invite on Saturday.
Kiree Lowe qualified on the women's side, while Evan Honer reached the finals for the third time in as many chances this week. Honer took sixth place for his third top-10 finish of the week after he won the 1-meter board on Friday.
Honer improved from one round to the next. He scored 269 points in the prelims and then a 285.35 in the finals. It updated his previous best in the event (275.40) and top-two score in CBU history.
Lowe scored a 206.80 in the prelims to put her in a tie for eighth place. It set a new personal record in the event to strengthen her top-two score in program history, which was previously at 205.55. She finished up in 12th place with a 176.40 total in the finals.
Tyler Stevens came close to qualifying for the finals, as he took 13th place in the prelims (237.20). It was 1.05 points off a top-12 finish, while Zane Freeman came in 17th (209.30).
True freshman Madison Liu had her best finish of the week, with a 21st-place performance. She scored a 167.45, which updated her previous season best in the event (156.30).
Madeline Wiese scored a top-five mark in the event, with a 165.80 that was good for 22nd. Savannah Uhlir 23rd with a score of 164.70.
