Lancers Land Five Finalists in the Last Day of the Air Force Dive Invite

USAFA, CO – California Baptist University men's and women's dive teams closed out the regular season in a big way on Saturday, placing two women and three men in the platform finals at the Air Force Dive Invite.
Natalia Bedolla was joined in the finals by freshman Audrey Easter who stepped up in a big way on Saturday as the two finished the prelims in seventh and 11th place, respectively. They both improved on their positions in the finals as Bedolla's 219.25 was good enough to bump her up to fourth place, while Easter scored 202.05 to finish the finals in eighth place.
Gael Jimenez and Evan Honer were joined in the finals on day three by freshman John Angelovic, advancing with prelim results of third, eighth, and 11th, respectively. Jimenez was the Lancers' top finisher again, earning fourth place in the finals with a score of 344.95. Honer improved his finish by two spots, taking sixth in the finals with a mark of 319.25. Angelovic rounded out the finals in 12th place with a score of 237.05.
Lillian Choi and Madison Liu closed out their Colorado trip with prelim efforts of 150.05 and 149.40 to finish in 24th and 25th place. Jacob Penman saved his best result for last, just missing the finals with a prelim placement of 14th overall with a score of 236.95.
The Lancers will look to hold onto this momentum as they rest and prepare for two weeks for the Western Athletic Conference Championships, happening in Edinburg, Texas, the home of WAC member the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, on February 22-25.
