
Steve Yang Selected As WBCA Board Member

RIVERSIDE - California Baptist University women's basketball assistant coach Steve Yang has been selected to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Board of Directors ahead of the 2023-24 season. Yang, who joined the Lancer staff in July 2023, is one of 25 voting members of the Board who represent institutions on all three NCAA levels, the NAIA, and the NCAA office itself.
Yang holds the title of Assistant Coach Director, serving as a voice and voting representative for all assistant coaches who are WBCA members. The appointment has duties that include participation in WBCA committees, national poll voting, and award selection. As the Assistant Coach Director, Yang will also serve an 18-member assistant coaches committee composed of three assistant coaches from each of the six membership divisions, provides input into association matters from an assistant coach's perspective, helps plan programming for assistant coaches at the annual WBCA Convention, and selects from those individuals nominated each year the six WBCA Assistant Coaches of the Year.
