Joe Quintana Signs a Pro Contract in the National Professional Basketball League

RIVERSIDE--- Former California Baptist University men's basketball player Joe Quintana signed a professional contract with Libertadores de Queretaro of the National Professional Basketball League in Mexico. The LNBP is the top pro league in Mexico and consists of 14 teams across the country.
After playing four seasons for the Loyola Marymount Lions, Quintana joined the Lancers for his graduate season for his final collegiate season. Quintana played in 30 games for CBU, averaging eight points per game, and made the third most triples on the team. Joe scored a season-high 17 points on three separate occasions, including in the team's upset road win over Washington in early November.
Quintana scored his 1000th career point in a road win over New Mexico State in early January and knocked down his 200th career triple in a win over San Diego during the 2022-23 season. Joe amassed 1,086 points and 228 made threes over 132 games during his collegiate career.
Quintana will join the Libertadores for the 2023-24 season.
