Lancers Repeat Sweep of Diver of The Week Awards

RIVERSIDE - This season, CBU divers have swept the weekly Western Athletic Conference awards for the second time. Repeating from opening week, Mario Del Valle and Audrey Thordarson-Wehner combined to win seven of the eight events they competed in and set a pair of program records along the way.
Thordarson-Wehner was perfect on the boards last weekend, going four-for-four at home vs Pomona-Pitzer and in Pasadena against CalTech and San Diego. Highlighting her flawless run was setting a new program record on Saturday, becoming just the send Lancer woman to break the 300-point mark on the 1-meter board, posting a score of 315.30.
Del Valle was dominant again, winning three of four events and finishing runner-up in the fourth in less than 24 hours. Del Valle's weekend saw him improve his own CBU pool and program record on the 1-meter board against Pomona-Pitzer, racking up 427.43 points.
