
GCC Releases 2024 All-Academic List

SANTA CLARA, CA--- The Golden Coast Conference released its 2024 All-Academic list on Thursday afternoon, with California Baptist University well represented with 16 student-athletes earning the honor.
The 16 student-athletes were tied for the third most in program history to make the list and were the most since 2021. Celeste Almendariz and Cayleigh Carter made a list for the third straight season, while Morgan Gates, Emaly Hutton, Grace Bergquist, Tyanna Schneider, and Devyn Ruffer all made the list for the second consecutive season.
The All-Academic Team consists of student-athletes that:
- Are an active participant of their team having competed in at least Fifty (50) percent of games in the current season (may not be a redshirt).
- Carry over a 3.0 Cumulative GPA (on a 4.0 scale).
- Be classified as a "full-time" student for all terms of attendance.
- Have completed a minimum of one (1) academic year at his/her institution.
- There is no limit to the number of student-athletes that can be selected to the All-Academic Team as long as they meet the requirements
