
DeJong and Breuer Earn All-WAC Nods

ARLINGTON, TX--- Emery DeJong and Bella Breuer were both named to the list of All-WAC honorees for California Baptist University volleyball, with DeJong making the First Team and Breuer on the All-Freshman list.
DeJong is the fourth Lancer in program history to make the First Team and is the third outside hitter to do so, following Christine Graf in 2022 and Tesa Oaks in 2018. DeJong had a career year in her second full year with the Lancers and in her first full year as a starter. She led the conference in kills with 309 and led the conference in kills per set during conference matches at 3.39. DeJong set a career-high with 19 kills on two separate occasions this season, with 19 against Tarleton and Portland State, and had 20 games of at least ten kills and had nine double-doubles to lead the team.
Bella Breuer became the fifth Lancer in program history to make the All-Freshman team after a decorated career at Camdenton High School. The Missouri native appeared in 46 sets for the Lancers and registered 48 kills and 26 blocks as a middle blocker for Coach Trevor Johnson. Breuer registered a season-high seven kills against Utah Tech and hit over .500 on four different occasions as a true freshman.
DeJong, Breuer, and the Lancers open up postseason play tomorrow at 11 AM PT against #3 Tarleton in Abilene, Texas, at the Western Athletic Conference Tournament.
