
Swim Concludes Four-Day Meet at the Utah Tech Invite

ST. GEORGE, UT. --- A week in Utah has come to a close for the California Baptist swim team, as Saturday concluded the Utah Tech Invitational. Highlighted by a new program record on the final day of competition, the Lancers return to California after another successful week in the pool.
Junior Eli Rollen provided a highlight moment for the Lancers on Saturday. Rollen posted a time of 1:43.61 in the 200-yard backstroke, establishing a new program record in the event. Rollen won the event in a photo finish, claiming the win by less than 0.2 seconds. He added a second victory in the 400-yard IM (3:53.12).
Rollen also added a strong showing in the 800-yard freestyle relay, as the Lancers placed second in the event. Rollen was joined by Holden Short, Mark Kovacsics, and Justin Welch. Rollen also placed second individually in the 200-yard IM.
Another second-place finish came in the 200-yard medley relay, with the CBU team consisting of Benjamin Madson, Ian Mullen, Tyler Mansheim, and Jacob Smith. The same relay team combined for a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Individually, Mansheim and Madson tied for fourth in the 50-yard freestyle (20.41). Mansheim also placed second in the 100-yard butterfly.
Kovacsics continued his strong start to the season with a victory in the 500-yard freestyle (4:23.09). He was also the runner-up behind Rollen in the 400-yard IM.
The women's 400-yard freestyle relay team put up a strong performance with a sixth-place finish. The team consisted of Naya Koc, Kai Flanagan, Nicole Reynolds, and Emily Drossel.

The Lancers will continue their season at the UNLV Winter Invite, beginning December 15 from Las Vegas.
