RIVERSIDE --- Freshman Jordan Muller has been announced as the WAC Newcomer of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Muller barely left the court last week as he recorded the first two starts of his collegiate career.
Muller played 79 of 80 minutes for the Lancers last week, as CBU went 2-0 with victories over San Diego and Oregon State. The German native earned his first collegiate start in Palm Desert against San Diego and remained in the starting five when the Lancers visited Corvallis.
The Lancers are 7-0 to start the season, continuing the best start in the program's Division I era. On Monday, it was also announced that CBU ranks No. 61 in the initial NET rankings.
Muller is averaging 7.4 PPG through seven games, but he is coming off his best two-game stretch. In Tuesday's win, Muller dropped a career-high 22 points while connecting on 6-of-11 from the field. He also knocked down 3-of-6 from three.
The freshman followed that up with a 13-point performance against Oregon State in which he finished 3-of-5 from three.
In his two starts last week, Muller averaged 39.5 minutes of court time, in which he posted 17.5 PPG, three assists per game, and a .545 shooting performance from beyond the arc.
Muller's award is the second WAC weekly honor for the Lancers this season. Dominique Daniels Jr. kicked off the 2025-26 season as the WAC Player of the Week.
CBU will be back in action on Monday night against the University of Colorado. The Lancers' visit to Boulder marks the third of six straight games away from Riverside. CBU will travel to Salt Lake City next, where they will take on BYU (Wednesday) and Utah (Saturday).
The Lancers will be back inside the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler Events Center on December 16 to host Southern University.
