
California Baptist Leads the WAC in Fall Learfield Standings

RIVERSIDE --- California Baptist University leads the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in the fall Learfield Directors' Cup standings. CBU ranks No. 72 out of all Division I programs and sits sixth out of all Division I-AAA schools.
Division I-AAA comprises all Division I universities that do not sponsor football.
CBU sits sixth out of Division I-AAA programs with 74.00 points. Ahead of the Lancers are High Point (114.00), Portland (100.00), Saint Louis (83.00), Lipscomb (77.00), and Xavier (74.00).
Tarleton State is the next closest WAC program to CBU in Division I, ranking No. 79 at the end of the fall, followed by Abilene Christian at No. 97. Utah Valley is next at 109.
The fall was a showcase of CBU success, leading the Lancers to lead the WAC in both the Learfield Directors' Cup Standings and WAC Commissioner's Cup standings. CBU won WAC championships in Men's Soccer (regular season), Women's Soccer (tournament), Men's Cross Country, and Women's Cross Country. Men's Water Polo reached the WCC Conference Championship Match.
Women's Soccer returned to the NCAA Tournament with its automatic bid. Both of CBU's cross country programs competed in the West Regionals, and the men's program earned a berth in the national championship race.
