RIVERSIDE - California Baptist University men's and women's swim and dive teams will have a new home starting in the 2025-26 season. As the Western Athletic Conference is set to discontinue sponsorship of men's and women's swim and dive after this season, the Lancers have found a home within the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF).
CBU is joined by fellow WAC programs, the University of Idaho, New Mexico State University, Northern Arizona University, Northern Colorado University, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and Utah Tech University, making the move. The members join Pacific and Incarnate Word, each sponsoring men's and women's teams, and Pepperdine and San Diego, which sponsor women only.
"We are very excited to join the MPSF. The conference is competitive for both our men's and women's swim & dive programs. Every year will be a test and highly competitive," said CBU Head Coach Jim Bossert on the new conference affiliation. He added, "We've been competitive at the MPSF Open Water Championships for two seasons now and cannot wait to further our relationship with the MPSF."
Before the change happens, CBU will compete in the final WAC Championship weekend, February 26 - March 1 hosted at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas.
