RIVERSIDE--- A season-best performance from Dominique Daniels Jr. on Saturday night earned him the title of Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Daniels Jr. erupted for a season-high 36 points on Saturday against Utah Tech to help lead the Lancers past the Trailblazers 86-83 in a Homecoming thrillers. The senior guard connected on 11 of his 18 field goal attempts and knocked down over 50% of his three-point tries while hitting all ten of his free throws to result in his 36-point night. The 30+ point effort was the second time this season he has gone for that number after doing so on the road against UCF in non-conference play.
Daniels Jr. is the leading scorer in the conference at 20 points per game, and that mark is also good enough for the 11th best in the NCAA this season. Daniels Jr. has scored at least 20 points in 12 contests this season and has been in double figures in all but one game during the 2024-25 season.
