RIVERSIDE--- The California Baptist University men's basketball team has announced a four-game non-conference road trip featuring several intriguing matchups for the 2025-26 season, including a bout with BYU at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
The road trip will all be against majority Power-Five opposition and will feature three matchups against the BIG 12 and one against WCC-affiliate Oregon State. The Lancers will begin the road trip against the Beavers in Corvallis on November 29 before jetting off to Boulder, Colorado, to face the Buffaloes of the University of Colorado. The road trip concludes with a pair of matchups in the Beehive State, beginning with the aforementioned Cougars of BYU on December 3 and will finally conclude on Saturday, December 6, against the University of Utah.
The trip will mark the first time since 2021 the Lancers have played multiple Power-5 institutions in the same season and the only time they have faced more than two in the same season in program history. The trip features two 20+ win teams, one NCAA Tournament squad, and all four qualified for postseason action in 2024-25.
Perhaps the most intriguing matchup of the road trip will be BYU, which reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA March Madness Tournament last season after knocking off Wisconsin and VCU in the opening two rounds. The Cougars are entering their third season of BIG 12 action and feature the #3 ranked recruiting class in the country, headlined by the top recruit in the country and projected #1 overall selection in the 2026 NBA draft, AJ Dybantsa. The matchup against BYU weighs more heavily with the announcement that the game will be played in the home arena of the Utah Jazz, the Delta Center in Salt Lake City.
The full non-conference schedule will be released soon. Follow the Lancers on social media @CBUMBB to get all the latest news and updates.
