Rosas Collects WAC Athlete of the Week Honors after Successful Opening Weekend

RIVERSIDE--- Victor Rosas of the California Baptist University cross-country team started his season off strong by collecting Western Athletic Conference athlete of the week honors following his performance at the Aztec Coastal Classic on Friday afternoon.
The San Diego native returned to his hometown for the competition and would guide CBU to the team victory in dominating fashion. Rosas would cross the line first with a time of 21:50, followed closely by several of his teammates. The Lancers would tout 11 of the race's top 16 finishers, including all seven of the top finishers.
Rosas is coming off a successful first season after transferring in from San Diego Mesa College a year ago. Rosas finished 225th at Nationals for cross-country and collected a pair of All-WAC honors during Outdoor Season.
NEXT: Rosas and the Lancers will be back in action in mid-September as they take on the Roy Griak Invitational.
