
Four More Podium Finishes on Day Three in Texas

PHARR, TX --- The third of four days at the MPSF Championship saw the Lancers finish with four more podium finishes. CBU enters the final day of competition with a dozen spots on the podium, as the Lancers look to keep the momentum going on the final day tomorrow.
CBU's dive team has been a staple on the podium this week, and Friday was no different. Mario Del Valle, who has a first and a second-place finish, added his second gold performance of the week with his 411.2 points in the platform.
John Angelovic joined Del Valle on the podium with 341.5 points and a third-place finish.
Another consistent name on the podium this week has been Benjamin Madson. After podium finishes in two relay events, Madson placed third individually in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 47.15.
Emily Drossel also placed third, this time in the 100-yard butterfly, with a time of 54.14. It's Drossel's second podium finish of the week.
CBU's other highlight came in the 100-yard butterfly as Tyler Mansheim broke the school record in the prelims, then returned to break his record again in the finals. Mansheim's new record time is 46.66.
The competition wraps up tomorrow from the campus of UTRGV. Fans can tune in live on the GOLS Network.
