FAYETTEVILLE, AR--- Sarah Schiffman concluded her first season in Riverside on Thursday night in Fayetteville with the Women's 10K semifinals.
The race was blown up early by the front pack leaders of Jane Hendengren, Pamela Kosgei, and Jadyn Keeler. Sarah would tuck into the back of the second group before that pack would also blow up. Schiffman would be caught in the back and would settle in for the long haul. She would catch two runners as the race progressed and finish 42nd in 35:29.96.
Sarah's first season in Riverside was a solid one, as she earned her first NCAA Regional qualifier, was named Second-Team All-WAC in the Women's 1500M, and recorded the 6th-fastest 10K in program history at the Stanford Invitational. The Ole Miss transfer was also third at the WAC Championship in cross-country and led the Lancers to a 6th-place finish at Regionals.
NEXT: Ernesto Ruiz will compete in heat #1 of the Men's 3000M Steeplechase tomorrow evening at John McDonnell Field.
