Women’s Swim to Compete in the Pac-12 Conference

SAN RAMON, CA --- California Baptist University (CBU) has been named one of 12 new affiliate members of the Pac-12 Conference. The Lancers, already announced as a Pac-12 member in men's soccer, will also call the conference its home for women's swim, beginning with the 2026-27 season.
CBU will be one of five schools competing in the Pac-12 in swimming this year. The Lancers are joined by Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, and Washington State.
"I am very excited to have CBU Women's Swim join the revamped Pac-12 Conference," said head coach Jim Bossert. "It is an honor to join such a prestigious and historically rich conference, especially in swimming. Our ladies cannot wait to get back to competition and represent CBU at the highest level."
Women's Swim makes the jump to the Pac-12 after competing in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) last season. The Lancers placed fourth at the MPSF Conference Tournament and finished the meet with ten All-MPSF finishes on the women's side.
The revitalized Pac-12 Conference sponsors 19 sports. The conference features nine full members and adds 12 affiliate members across five Olympic sports. CBU will compete in the Pac-12 in both women's swim and men's soccer, with the soccer team competing in the conference as part of a partnership with the Big West and Pac-12.
CBU will compete in its first Pac-12 championship in the spring, as the 2027 Pac-12 Swimming & Diving Championship will be held February 24 – 27 in Houston, TX.
