CBU Swim Announces 2026-27 Schedule

RIVERSIDE – The road to California Baptist's first season in the Pac-12 is set, as the Lancers unveiled their 2026-27 schedule.
CBU opens the season Oct. 9-10 in Malibu, California, at the two-day Rodionoff Invite hosted by Pepperdine. The following week, the Lancers travel to Long Beach for the MPSF Open Water 5K for the second consecutive season. CBU then heads to Claremont, California, on Oct. 24 for a meet at NCAA Division III opponent Pomona-Pitzer.
The fall schedule continues with the inaugural Rick Rowland Joust at the Lancer Aquatics Center on Nov. 6-7. The meet honors Rick Rowland, the founding architect of CBU's aquatics program, who launched both the swimming and water polo programs in 1999.
CBU then travels to St. George, Utah, for the four-day Trailblazer Invite, hosted by Utah Tech, from Nov. 18-21.
Following the Trailblazer Invite, the Lancers will compete in six one-day meets throughout December and January before opening postseason competition at the Pac-12 Championships in Houston, Texas, Feb. 24-27. Highlights of the stretch include trips to Hawai'i on Dec. 18, UC San Diego on Jan. 9 and Grand Canyon on Jan. 16.
"We're really excited about the schedule we've put together for this season. We'll have opportunities throughout the year to race quality competition and continue learning who we are as a team. Adding in the Rick Rowland Joust in November as a tribute to Coach Rowland is especially meaningful, and the opportunity to travel to Hawai'i in December will be a great team trip. Our January schedule will especially challenge us and help prepare us for our first Pac-12 Championships in February.
"This is an exciting new chapter for CBU Women's Swimming, and we're looking forward to establishing our standard, growing together and seeing what this group can accomplish. Throughout it all, we want to be a team defined by our four priorities — Love, Faith, Joy and Excellence — in how we train, how we compete and how we represent CBU," head coach Jim Bossert said.
CBU will look to make an immediate impact in its first season in the Pac-12, where it will compete alongside Washington State, Colorado State, San Diego State and Fresno State.
Senior captain Ambrin Pienaar and junior captain Avery Easterling will lead the Lancers into a new era of program history.
