Marin Named Big West Male Athlete of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. – For the second straight week, a Lancer has been named Big West Male Athlete of the Week as junior Pedro Marin earns the honor following his performance at the John McNichols Invitational.
Marin finished sixth with a time of 23:52.2 in a field of more than 200 runners from across the country. His time was approximately 30 seconds off his personal best.
The John McNichols Invitational featured multiple nationally ranked teams, including BYU and Florida.
Marin returns as one of CBU's top returners following a large newcomer class. The John McNichols Invitational marked his first race of the season after sitting out the USF Invitational to begin the season.
Marin will lead the Lancers as they travel to San Marcos on Oct. 3 for the Cougar Challenge.
