Nalanie Neal Wins Big West Rookie of the Week for Second Consecutive Week

RIVERSIDE--- Nalanie Neal earned Big West Rookie of the Week honors for the second time in as many weeks after continuing her tremendous start to the season for the Lancers.
Neal and the Lancers competed in the ASICS Invitational this past weekend, finishing 1-2 with a win over Seattle U and losses to Oregon State and Montana.
The Wytheville, Virginia, native registered 46 kills across three matches, including a career best 24 kills against Montana in a five-set defeat. Neal also led the Lancers in digs this tournament with 27 across 12 sets. Neal is currently second in the Big West in both kills and points and is fourth in kills per set.
Neal has now won the honor in consecutive weeks to start the season after winning last week, following her opening weekend performance against New Mexico and New Mexico State.
Neal and the Lancers are at home this week as they host The Joust from September 10-12 in Riverside.
