Swam freestyle, backstroke and relay events as a sophomore... Finished runner-up in 50 free (24.70) and 200-free relay (1:37.73) against Grand Canyon... Took third in 200-yard butterfly (2:20.03) and 200-free relay (1:40.31) at Pepperdine Malibu Invite... Named Academic All-WAC.
2018-19
Swam on both 400-free relay teams both that set the school record and took third at the WAC Championships (3:22.20) and earned All-American honors by taking seventh at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship (3:22.97)... Posted top-10 school times in the 50 free (sixth, 23.54) and the 100 free (10th, 51.51)... Secured top-eight finishes in the 200-free relay (fifth, 1:33.34); 400-medley relay (seventh, 3:46.82) at the WAC meet, and also took 14th in the 50 free (23.73)... Added top-20 finishes at the CSCAA NIC in the 200-medley relay (16th, 1:43.70); 800-free relay (19th, 7:35.02); 200-free relay (20th, 1:35.14)... Also qualified for and swam the 50 (57th, 24.12) and 100 frees (58th, 52.61) at the CSCAA NIC ... Named Academic All-WAC.
HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at La Jolla Country Day in La Jolla, Calif., where she graduated in 2018... Graduated holding five school records: 50, 100, 200, 500 freestyles and 100 backstroke... Qualified for CIF finals all four years... Went undefeated in 50 and 100-yard freestyles at the San Diego City Conference Eastern League Meets... Won two City Conference championships and qualified for CIF State Meet three times... Voted MVP swimmer all four years... Served as Torreys' team captain in two seasons... Swam club for Heartland Swim Association.
PERSONAL
Born and raised in San Diego, Calif... Daughter of Greg and Bambi Kelly... Has six relatives who were collegiate student-athletes: Bambi (mom) played basketball at the University of San Diego, Heidi Bruning (aunt) volleyball at USD, Uncle Kip Kelly swam at Cal, aunt and uncle Susan and Jeff Kelly played water polo at San Francisco State and Kim Hall (aunt) played water polo at UC Santa Barbara... Enjoys going to the beach, being around friends, traveling, photography and reading... Behavioral Sciences major... Would like to become an elementary school teacher or psychologist after graduation.
