The most successful and longest tenured coach CBU baseball has ever had, Gary Adcock stepped in at the helm of the Lancer program in 2004. Since then, he has amassed a 584-288-1 career record in 16 seasons -- the most coaching wins in program history. His Lancers have also gone 14-for-15 when it comes to postseason berths and won seven conference championships over that span. The former assistant coach at UCLA and Purdue is a five-time conference and two-time national Coach of the Year honoree, with 22 of his players being selected in the MLB First-Year Player Draft. Andrew Brasington Assistant Coach, Baseball (951) 343-4581 | abrasington@calbaptist.edu A former CBU baseball player, Andrew Brasington returned to the Lancers as an assistant coach in 2012 after serving as a graduate assistant in 2009-10. In eight seasons, the Lancers have gone 303-138 and won four conference championships. The team has also qualified for the NCAA playoffs in its first five years of eligibility (2014-18). Jesse Zepeda Assistant Coach, Baseball (951) 552-8477 | jzepeda@calbaptist.edu Jesse Zepeda joined CBU in August 2015, and he brought 13 years of experience in collegiate baseball with him. In his four seasons, the Lancers have gone 147-70, won two conference titles and qualified for the NCAA postseason all three years it was eligible. Seven players have also been taken in the MLB Draft since Zepeda joined the staff. Before CBU, he spent five years as the head assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Long Beach State and seven campaigns at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He played collegiately at Fresno State and Oklahoma, helping the Sooners qualify for the College World Series in 1995. Complete Biography |

David Herd Director of Baseball Operations (951) 343-8364 | dherd@calbaptist.edu David Herd was named California Baptist University baseball's Director of Operations in July 2019. It was a homecoming for Herd, who graduated from CBU in 2015 and served as a volunteer assistant pitching coach in the 2016 season. Herd enjoyed a tremendous pitching career for the Lancers from 2012-15 and earned All-PacWest honors in 2013. Complete Biography |

Justin Hixson Volunteer Assistant (951) 343-4581 | jhixson@calbaptist.edu Justin Hixson joined California Baptist University baseball as a volunteer assistant in August 2018. The Lancers went 35-20 and won a share of the Western Athletic Conference title in their debut season in NCAA Division I and the WAC with Hixson on the staff in 2019. CBU produced four WAC Pitchers of the Week on the year and three all-conference pitchers at the end of the season, including WAC Pitcher of the Year Logan Rinehart. He had spent the previous three seasons as a pitching coach at Biola University after after an accomplished playing career at CBU from 1998-2000. Complete Biography |
