California Baptist University debuted its new Athletic Performance Center in September 2019.The APC features a 10,800-square-foot weight room, the largest of the NCAA Division I non-football institutions in the state of California. The new APC is quadruple the size of the previous CBU strength and conditioning facility (2,550 sq. ft.). The project also includes a dedicated nutrition space, a basketball practice facility, and a six-lane, 30-yard training area among other amenities. The new APC facility is an expansion of the 40,682-square-foot Recreation Center that opened on campus in January 2013 and is located near the Events Center, home of the men's and women's basketball programs, and is accessible right off Adams Street.

Equipment in the APC is highlighted by new power racks, pulleys, cardio machines, and other strength training equipment, according to Jason Quan, CBU's Director of Athletic Strength and Conditioning. Quan added that all 21 of CBU's NCAA DI programs will use the strength and conditioning facility. The APC holds approximately 9,300 lbs. of weights. There are 14 squat racks, 18 pulley stations, and 12 sets of dumbbells that range from 5-125 lbs.

The APC is dedicated only for California Baptist University student-athletes.  All Lancer sports teams utilize this facility to enhance their athletic abilities. CBU student-athletes are served by two full-time strength and conditioning coaches that provide comprehensive year-round training programs designed to enhance movement, strength, speed, agility, conditioning, injury prevention, and recovery.
