Dear CBU Softball Family,
As I reflect on this past season, one word keeps coming to mind: gratitude.
Winning the WAC Regular Season Championship, capturing our first WAC Tournament Championship, and earning the first NCAA Tournament berth in our program's Division I history are accomplishments that our team will remember for the rest of their lives. While those championships will always hold a special place in our hearts, what I'll remember most are the people who made them possible.
This season was built on countless early morning workouts, long practices, bus rides, unwavering faith, and a group of young women who committed themselves to something bigger than themselves. But it was also built by people like our alumni, parents, families, friends, and loyal supporters who believed in CBU Softball every step of the way.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
The excitement surrounding our program has never been greater, but I truly believe we're only getting started. This championship season has created incredible momentum, and our goal isn't simply to celebrate what we've accomplished. Our goal is to build a program that competes for conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances year after year.
As college athletics continues to evolve, sustaining that level of success requires a continued investment in our student-athletes. Your generosity allows us to provide the resources necessary to recruit outstanding young women, retain the talented players who have built our championship culture, and give them every opportunity to succeed both on the field and in the classroom.
This year, our fundraising priorities are focused on continuing that momentum:
- $10,000 – Championship Rings to recognize our student-athletes for bringing home the first WAC Tournament Championship in program history.
- $15,000 – Team Nutrition & Recovery to provide our team with the resources needed to perform and recover at a championship level throughout the season.
- $50,000 – Retention of Our Current Roster to invest in the student-athletes who helped build this championship culture and position our program for continued success.
- $50,000 – Recruitment Efforts & Roster Enhancements to attract the next generation of Lancers who will help us compete on the national stage.
Every gift, regardless of its size, makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our student-athletes. More importantly, every gift is an investment in young women who are committed to pursuing excellence in competition, in the classroom, and in their faith.
On behalf of our entire softball program, thank you for believing in us. Thank you for celebrating with us during this historic season, and thank you for considering an investment in the future of CBU Softball.
We are incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for this program next.
