National Championship Teams
In all, California Baptist University has won a total of 47 national championships in its history. The Lancers won 22 championships in the NAIA era, with nine of their titles coming in the National Christian College Athletic Association during the Lancers' two-year transition from the NAIA to the NCAA in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. CBU's 10 other national championships came from wrestling, cheerleading and dance, with Lancer wrestling winning a pair of National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) titles in 2011 and 2013, while cheer won eight National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) titles in 2013-19, 2022 and dance won a National Dance Alliance crown in 2022.

In addition, men's water polo won the inaugural Collegiate Water Polo Association/NAIA National Invitational Tournament in 2007 when the sport was deemed a NAIA emerging sport. Women's water polo won the NAIA Invitational tournaments in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and a National Invitational in 2012. In 2012, men's water polo also won the Collegiate Water Polo Association National Invite.
